QXP-120 is a Quad Pol (fully polarimetric) weather radar system, developed for high spatial resolution (15 m) monitoring of precipitation.
QUAD-POL (Full Polarimetry)
QXP-120 features full polarimetry as the standard polarimetric mode. QXP-120 advanced weather radar processor makes available not only single-pol spectral moments (reflectivity Z, velocity V, spectrum widthw) but also all polarimetric variables: differential reflectivity (ZDR), linear depolarization ratio (LDR), propagation differential phase (φDP), specific differential
phase (KDP), copolar correlation coefficient (ρHV), and cross-polar correlation coefficient (ρXH).
BISTATIC OPERATIONS
QXP-120 can be doployed as an individual radar unit or as part of a network of radars.
